4.1.9. Service of the oil pump
Removal and dismantling
|
- Uncover a gas-distributing chain and an asterisk of the drive of the oil pump with a chain.
- Weaken collars and disconnect fuel to a kuporta the open ends of hoses in order to avoid hit in a dirt power supply system.
- Give fixing bolts and remove the fuel pump from the engine.
- Give fixing bolts and nuts and remove the oil pump from a forward part of the engine. You will throw out a sealing ring of round section.
- Give bolts of fastening of forward and back covers of the oil pump, uncover a pump housing (components of the oil pump are shown on an accompanying illustration).
- Give a nut of a cam of the drive of the fuel pump, then remove a washer and a cam from a shaft of the oil pump. Take from the case of the oil pump assembly of an internal gear wheel (rotor) with shaft and an external gear wheel (rotor).
- Take from a forward cover of the pump a spring(s) of the reducing valve and a plunger of the valve (see an accompanying illustration).

Check of a state
|
- Carefully wash out components of the oil pump in solvent and dry up them in the natural way.
- Check internal and external gear wheels of the pump for existence of signs of wear. Replace defective components.

- Temporarily establish both gear wheels back in a pump housing and by means of the measuring probe of lezviyny type check a gap between an external gear wheel and a pump housing (see an accompanying illustration). Compare result of measurement to standard requirements (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management). In case of need replace the pump.

- Measure a gap between teeth of an internal gear wheel and shoulders external (see an accompanying illustration). In case of excess of admissible value replace the pump.

|
- Press a planeness measuring instrument edge to a pump housing end face in and measure a side gap of gear wheels (see an accompanying illustration). In case of need replace the pump.
|
- Check a plunger of the reducing valve for existence of zadir and scratches. The plunger has to have rather dense landing in a pump cover. Check a spring for existence loss of the developed effort and existence of the broken rounds.
- Examine a gasoline pump drive cam on existence of cavities and zadir, in case of need make replacement.
- By means of the hammer and a drift take the needle roller bearing of a shaft of an internal gear wheel from a pump housing. You will throw out the bearing. Check a condition of a surface of landing of the bearing on a gear wheel shaft. In case of identification of zadir and roughnesses replace a shaft.

Assembly and installation
|
- By means of a drift and a mandrel install the new needle bearing in a pump housing.
- Plentifully oil all components motive and establish gear wheels in a pump housing.
- Establish a forward cover with a new sealing ring, in stages tighten fixing bolts with effort of 7 ÷ 8 Nanometers.
- Fill a plunger of the reducing valve with spring(s) in a forward cover of the pump, tighten a stopper with effort of 39 ÷ 69 Nanometers, without having forgotten to change its sealing washer.
- Establish a cam of the drive of the fuel pump and tighten a fixing nut with effort of 16 ÷ 19 Nanometers.
- Lay a continuous pillow of sealant with a diameter of section of 2 ÷ of 3 mm in a flute in a back cover of the pump, then within no more than ten minutes press a cover to a pump housing and fix it by bolts. The effort of tightening of bolts has to make 7 ÷ 8 Nanometers.
- Lay a sealant pillow with ø of section 2 ÷ of 3 mm in a flute of a forward cover of the pump, establish new sealing rings on a cover, then press assembly to a pump housing. Tighten fixing bolts with effort of 7 ÷ 8 Nanometers.

Before starting the engine let's sealant dry within not less than thirty minutes. |
- Establish a gasoline pump with new insulating assembly. Strongly tighten fixing bolts.
- Establish assembly of a driving asterisk with a chain, a cover of a gas-distributing chain and a pulley of a bent shaft.
