Removal
|
|
- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Perhaps it will be required to remove the left forward wheel for ensuring access to the left forward spherical hinge.
- On models of early years of release give a nut of fastening of a steering damper to cross steering draft, remove a washer. Give a nut with a bolt of fastening of a damper to a cross jet bar and remove a damper from the car.

On some models the steering damper instead of a cross jet bar fastens to a chassis frame. In this case it is necessary to give instead of mentioned the corresponding fixture. |
- On models of late years of release give nuts since both ends of a steering damper, holding its rod not movably by means of a wrench. Remove washers and rubber plugs, then take a steering damper from under the car.
- Take forelocks from koronchaty nuts since both ends of cross steering draft. Turn off nuts.
- If the stripper is available, use it for release of spherical hinges of cross steering draft from a rotary fist and a bipod of the steering mechanism.
- If the stripper is unavailable, take fingers of spherical hinges by pressing quickly of one hammer to the corresponding landing ear, and strike with the second hammer a reverse side of an ear.
- Remove cross steering draft from the car. Check draft for existence of cracks and signs of deformation, in case of need make replacement.
- Check spherical hinges for existence of an axial side play for what undertake the hinge one hand, and the second try to shake here and there a sharovy finger. If the side play takes place, replace cross draft.
- Check effort of turning of spherical hinges for what screw nuts, clamp draft in a vice and rotate a sharovy finger by means of a sensitive dynamometer key (see an accompanying illustration). Nominal force of turning of the spherical hinge lies in the range between 1.0 and 4.9 Nanometers. In case of need replace draft.
- Check a condition of boots of spherical fingers. Defective replace.
- Check a condition of all carvings, replace defective components.
- Undertake both ends of a steering damper and several times strongly squeeze it until the end of the course. In the presence of breakthroughs and points of jamming the damper has to be replaced.
- Examine the damper case on existence of dents, other damages and traces of leak of liquid. In case of need make replacement.
- Check a condition of rubber plugs of support of a damper. Replace defective plugs.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.

|
- Tighten koronchaty nuts with effort of 46 ÷ 54 Nanometers.
- Forelocks are subject to replacement without fail.
- Grease all hinges with lubricant of the recommended type (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).

Connecting steering draft
Removal
|
|
- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Perhaps, ensuring access to hinges will require removal of wheels.
- Remove forelocks of koronchaty nuts from both ends of connecting draft. Give nuts.
- In the presence of a stripper, use it for release of spherical hinges of tips of draft from rotary fists.
- If the stripper is not available, act with the alternative method described for hinges of cross draft.
- Remove connecting draft from the car.
- Check draft for existence of cracks and signs of deformation. In case of need make replacement.
- Check spherical hinges of tips for existence of an axial side play for what undertake the hinge one hand, and the second try to shake here and there a sharovy finger. If the side play takes place, replace connecting draft.
- Check effort of turning of spherical hinges for what screw nuts, clamp draft in a vice and rotate a sharovy finger by means of a sensitive dynamometer key. Nominal force of turning of the spherical hinge lies in the range between 1.0 and 4.9 Nanometers. In case of need replace the corresponding tip of draft.
- Check a condition of boots of spherical fingers. Defective replace.
- Check a condition of all carvings, replace defective components.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.

- Measure draft length of spherical hinges of tips between centers. The nominal rate makes about 1 270 mm. in case of need make adjustment. Tips have to act from draft approximately on identical quantity of rounds of a carving (details of a tip of connecting steering draft are shown on an accompanying illustration).
- Tighten koronchaty nuts with effort of 46 ÷ 54 Nanometers.
- Forelocks are subject to replacement without fail.
- Tighten lock collars of tips of connecting steering draft with effort of 25 ÷ 28 Nanometers.
- Grease all hinges with lubricant of the recommended type (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
- Check installation of convergence of forward wheels of the car, in case of need make adjustment.

Removal
Longitudinal steering draft

- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
- Remove forelocks of koronchaty nuts from both ends of longitudinal steering draft. Give nuts.
- In the presence of a stripper, use it for a detachment of spherical hinges of longitudinal draft from connecting draft and assembly of the pendular lever of cross draft.
- If the stripper is not available, act with the alternative method described for hinges of drafts of models Hardtop and the Versatile person.
- Remove longitudinal draft from the car.

Cross steering draft

|
- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
- Remove forelocks of koronchaty nuts from both ends of cross draft. Give nuts.
- Give a nut of fastening of a steering damper, remove a washer(s) and lift a damper up, removing it from a hairpin on a cross bar.
- In the presence of a stripper, use it for separation of spherical fingers of hinges of cross draft from assembly of the pendular lever and a bipod of the steering mechanism.
- If the stripper is not available, act with the alternative method described for hinges of drafts of models Hardtop and the Versatile person.
- Remove cross draft from the car.
- Check draft for existence of cracks and signs of deformation. In case of need make replacement.

- Remove forelocks of koronchaty nuts from both ends of connecting draft and from longitudinal draft. Give nuts.
- In the presence of a stripper, use it for separation of spherical hinges of tips of draft from a rotary fist and longitudinal steering draft.
- If the stripper is not available, act with the alternative method described for hinges of drafts of models Hardtop and the Versatile person.
- Remove connecting draft from the car.
- In case of need weaken bolts of lock plates (see an accompanying illustration) and bolts of collars of fixing of tips of connecting draft. Remove tips. Count and write down quantity of the turns which were necessary for a reversing of each tip.

Check of a condition of components

- Check all components of the steering drive for existence of signs of wear and damages.
- Check spherical hinges of drafts for existence of an axial side play for what undertake the hinge one hand, and the second try to shake here and there a sharovy finger. If the side play takes place, replace the hinge.
- Check effort of turning of spherical hinges of drafts for what screw nuts, clamp draft in a vice and rotate a sharovy finger by means of a sensitive dynamometer key. Nominal force of turning of the spherical hinge lies in the range between 1.0 and 4.9 Nanometers. Replace defective hinges.
- Check a condition of boots of spherical fingers. Defective replace.
- Check a condition of all carvings, replace defective components.

Total length of assembly of connecting draft (1 236 mm) has to be measured spherical fingers of tips between centers. |
- Establish lock plates on draft tips.
- Tighten koronchaty nuts and bolts of collars of fixing of tips of connecting draft with the required effort.
- Forelocks are subject to replacement without fail.
- Grease all hinges with lubricant of the recommended type (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
- Check installation of convergence of forward wheels of the car, in case of need make adjustment.
