- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. Perhaps it will be required to remove the left forward wheel for ensuring access to the left forward spherical hinge.
- On models of early years of release give a nut of fastening of a steering damper to cross steering draft, remove a washer. Give a nut with a bolt of fastening of a damper to a cross jet bar and remove a damper from the car.

On some models the steering damper instead of a cross jet bar fastens to a chassis frame. In this case it is necessary to give instead of mentioned the corresponding fixture. |
- On models of late years of release give nuts since both ends of a steering damper, holding its rod not movably by means of a wrench. Remove washers and rubber plugs, then take a steering damper from under the car.
- Take forelocks from koronchaty nuts since both ends of cross steering draft. Turn off nuts.
- If the stripper is available, use it for release of spherical hinges of cross steering draft from a rotary fist and a bipod of the steering mechanism.
- If the stripper is unavailable, take fingers of spherical hinges by pressing quickly of one hammer to the corresponding landing ear, and strike with the second hammer a reverse side of an ear.
- Remove cross steering draft from the car. Check draft for existence of cracks and signs of deformation, in case of need make replacement.
- Check spherical hinges for existence of an axial side play for what undertake the hinge one hand, and the second try to shake here and there a sharovy finger. If the side play takes place, replace cross draft.
- Check effort of turning of spherical hinges for what screw nuts, clamp draft in a vice and rotate a sharovy finger by means of a sensitive dynamometer key (see an accompanying illustration). Nominal force of turning of the spherical hinge lies in the range between 1.0 and 4.9 Nanometers. In case of need replace draft.
