12.7.2. The elementary checks and adjustments
Effort of a tension of a driving belt of the steering pump

Correctness of adjustment of a tension of a driving belt gives a guarantee that the last will not slip while excessive loads both of a belt, and of pump bearings at the same time are not created. |
Measurement of effort of a tension of a belt is performed in the middle of its direct site between pulleys of a bent shaft and the steering pump. Firmly press a belt in the specified point a thumb the size of a deflection has to conform to standard requirements.
Removal of air from hydraulic system (pumping)

- Make sure that in the tank of system hydraulic liquid of the required grade is filled in (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management).
- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
- Without starting the engine, several times quickly turn a steering wheel from an emphasis against the stop from left to right. Do not hold a wheel in extreme provisions more than fifteen seconds.
- Check liquid level in the tank. In case of need make having added.
- If liquid in the tank of the steering pump is excessively saturated with air aerated), or the raised noise background of the pump takes place, repeat performing procedures, described in two previous paragraphs.

Removal and installation of hydraulic lines of connection of the pump of system of hydrostrengthening with the steering mechanism

After performing procedures, capable to cause hit to the highway of air, the hydraulic system has to be pumped over (see. Primary checks). |
Returnable hydraulic line

- The returnable line is executed in the form of the usual steel tube connected to hoses of high pressure by means of collars. For replacement of a hose it is necessary to weaken fixing collars then to pull together a hose from a nipple part of a tube.
- At installation of new hoses their ends should be greased with transmission liquid (ATF) from within.
- The returnable line is connected to the steering mechanism by means of the nipple socket on a hollow bolt. Before starting connection of components of the socket replace copper sealing washers.

Pressure head hydraulic line
|
|
- The pressure head line represents an integral piece of a tube with the hoses tense on it. In case of leaks all line has to be replaced.
- Give a hollow bolt of the nipple socket on the steering pump and disconnect the line from the last.
- Give bolts of arms near a pulley of a bent shaft and the steering mechanism. Release the line from arms.
- Give a hollow bolt of the nipple socket on the steering mechanism and disconnect the line from the last.
- Remove the line from the car.

Installation is made upside-down.
Before joining of nipple sockets replace copper sealing washers.
