12.7.3. Removal and installation of a steering wheel

Removal of the helmsman will require a special stripper.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. On models with the central arrangement of the button of a horn carefully hook the button sideways by means of the tool with a flat sting and remove it from a wheel (see an accompanying illustration).

  1. On models with screw fastening of the button of a horn by means of the short screw-driver give fixing screws under a steering wheel.
  2. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the button.
  3. Mark the provision of a steering wheel on a shaft, then give a fixing nut.
  4. By means of a special stripper remove a wheel from a steering shaft.

You do not knock on an end face of a steering shaft as it is fraught with damage of a column.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

  1. Grease with universal lubricant a returnable cam of the switch of indexes of turns from the back party of a steering wheel.
