14.6. Service of the sensor of a speedometer

Removal and installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Car back also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
  3. Working under the car, disconnect an electrical wiring from the speedometer sensor (location of the sensor is shown on an accompanying illustration - on an insert the arrangement of plugs of the socket is shown).

  1. Establish under a lengthening casing suitable capacity for collecting oil which can begin to follow at removal of the sensor from the transfer case.
  2. Examine teeth of a driving gear wheel on existence of signs of wear, chips and other damages. In case of need make replacement.

Installation is made upside-down.

Check of serviceability of functioning

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect the voltmeter to plugs of the electric socket.
  2. Install the device in the mode of voltage measurement of alternating current, quickly you krutanit the speedometer drive clockwise and consider the indication of the voltmeter.
  3. The result has to make about 0.5 Century.
  4. In case of need replace the sensor.
