14.3. Switches
Removal and installation of the lock of ignition
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Give fixing screws and remove the lower casing of a steering column.
- Give the screw of fastening of assembly of the lock of ignition (details of fixture and components of the lock of ignition are shown on an accompanying illustration).
- Disunite the electric socket and remove the ignition switch from the lock.

Removal and installation of the combined understeering switch
Removal
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Remove facing of the lock of ignition.
- Give fixing screws and remove the lower casing of a steering column.
- Remove a steering wheel and the press button of a horn.
- Remove the top casing of a steering column.
- Disunite electric sockets of the combined understeering switch.
|
|
- Weaken the screw of a collar of fastening of the combined switch (see an accompanying illustration).
|
- Push the switch towards the dashboard, slightly turn it and remove from a steering column.
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
Track that the landing ledge of the switch got to a reciprocal opening, only after it tighten the collar screw.
Removal and installation of the switches located on a guard of a combination of devices
|

On the lower finishing panel of facing of an instrument guard the potentiometer of intensity of illumination of devices, the switch of heating of back glass and (are located at the corresponding complete set) the switch of the modes of a cleaner/washer of back glass. |
Removal

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

- Having carefully hooked the screw-driver (enclose under her sting a cardboard plate for protection of the panel), take from the panel the corresponding switch (see an accompanying illustration).

- Disconnect behind an electrical wiring and remove the switch.

Removal and installation of the switch of the alarm system

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Remove the central part of the dashboard.
- Wring out one of fixing clamps, push the switch forward and remove it from the central panel.

Replacement of the breaker of indexes of turns

The block of the breaker of indexes of turns is located under the dashboard, near a brake pedal axis (see an accompanying illustration). |

|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Disunite the electric socket of the breaker.
- Give screws of fastening of an arm of the breaker and remove the block together with an arm from the car.

Removal and installation of the switches located on the central part of the dashboard

Located in the central part of the dashboard the radio receiver antenna electric drive switch, the switch of the back conditioner, the switch of the drive of the top hatch and switches of blocking of differentials are among. |

Removal and installation of the switch of the electric drive of a rear-view mirror
Removal

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

- Disunite behind the electric socket and remove the switch.

Service of the sensor switch of stoplights

The sensor switch of stoplights is located on a brake pedal arm under the dashboard (see an accompanying illustration). |
Check of serviceability of functioning
|
|
- Squeeze out a pedal of a brake and make sure of inclusion of stoplights.
- If stoplights do not work, disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch.
- Establish a wire crossing point between plugs of the electric socket. If now there was an inclusion of stoplights, it is necessary to make adjustment of the sensor switch, or to replace it with serviceable.

- Weaken a lock-nut and remove the sensor switch from a brake pedal arm.

- Track quality of contacts and reliability of fastening of the electric socket on the back party of the switch.
- Execute adjustment of the sensor switch.

Adjustment
|
|
- Adjust the free height of a pedal of a brake.
- Weaken the switch and adjust its situation. Try to achieve between an emphasis and an end face of a carving part of the sensor switch of a gap in 0.3 ÷ 1.0 mm.
|
|
Removal and installation of the sensor switch of permission of start (only models of 3.0 l)
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch.
- Weaken a lock-nut and remove the sensor switch from a pedal arm.
|
|
Installation is made upside-down.
Removal and installation of the sensor switch of a control lamp of the cocked position of the lever of the parking brake
|
|
- Give screws of fastening of the central console and slightly raise the lever of the parking brake. Remove the central console from the car.
|
|
- Give a fixing bolt and disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch of a control lamp (location of the sensor switch is shown on an accompanying illustration - the central console is removed).
|
- Remove the sensor switch from the car.
|

Service of the sensor switch of fires of a backing (only models with RKPP)

The sensor switch of fires of a backing is located on transmission. Adjustment of the sensor switch is not provided. |
Check of serviceability of functioning
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- By means of an ohmmeter make sure that the sensor switch is closed (conductivity takes place) when switching a box to the reverse gear. At a box conclusion from position of the reverse gear the sensor switch have to it is opened (conductivity is absent).
- Replace the faulty sensor switch.

Check of serviceability of functioning

- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- By means of an ohmmeter make sure available conductivity of the sensor switch at inclusion of the modes N and L 4WD of the transfer case. In other provisions of a box conductivity has to be absent.
- In case of need replace the sensor switch.
