13.7. Service of forward doors
Removal and installation of the panel of finishing and internal handles
Removal
|
|
- Give the screw of fastening of facing of the handle of the remote drive of the lock to the door panel. Remove facing.
- On models with the manual drive of lowering lifting of door glasses remove the window regulator handle by means of the tool for removal of clamps. In the absence of available this tool hook a facing overlay of the handle the thin strong wire bent on the end in the form of a hook. Lower a hook in a clamp under the driving handle and, having pulled for a wire, take a clamp from a handle end face then remove the handle from a door. Alternatively the handle can be removed by means of the strong matter got under it. For extraction of a clamp it is necessary to pull strongly for fabric corners.
- On models with a separate armrest give fixing screws and remove an armrest from a door.
- On models with power windows with individual switches remove the switch from the panel of finishing of a door and disunite its electric socket. Try not to damage the switch panel.
- With built in an armrest by the switch of a window regulator operate on models as follows:
- Remove a finishing slip from the lower part of the gripping handle of a door and give the screws located under it. The screw-driver with a flat sting carefully hook the gripping handle and remove it from assembly of an armrest.
- The screw-driver with a flat sting carefully hook the panel of the switch of a window regulator and take the last from assembly of an armrest. Disunite the electric socket and take the switch panel aside from a working zone.
- Give screws of fastening of an armrest to the internal panel of a door. Leave an armrest connected to the panel of finishing of a door.

- Insert the screw-driver with a thin wide flat sting between the panel of finishing and a frame of a door as it is possible closer to one of clamps. Hooking, serially take clamps of fastening of the panel of finishing. Remove the panel from a door (the forward door with removed by the finishing panel, a loudspeaker and a sealing film is shown on an accompanying illustration).

At removal of the panel of finishing of a door it is necessary to leave plastic clamps fixed from the back party of the panel. If to leave clamps in the internal panel of a door, they can be damaged. In case of problems use a suitable cutting torch which edge for cutting of a clamp should be got between the panel of finishing and a frame of a door. Try not to damage finishing and a paint and varnish covering of a door. |
- Give screws of fastening of a loudspeaker, disconnect an electrical wiring and remove a loudspeaker from a door.
- Carefully remove a polymeric sealing film from the internal panel of a door.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.

|
- Track correctness of placement on the door panel a polymeric sealing film. Torn or otherwise it is better to replace the damaged film.
- Replace the damaged clamps of the finishing panel.
- Accurately install the finishing panel on a door, serially latching clamps.
- On models with the manual drive of lowering lifting of glasses establish on a door a finishing overlay of the handle of a window regulator, the handle and its clamp. Track that mutual position of the handle and a windowpane corresponded to that on an opposite door.

Removal

|
- Remove internal handles, the panel of finishing of a door and a polymeric sealing film of a door.
- Working through an opening in the door panel, give screws of fastening of a windowpane to the window regulator ram. Carefully lower glass against the stop in a door frame bottom.
- Find clamps of fastening of an internal rubber sealing tape to the top part of a lath of a belt of the internal panel of a door. Grasp at the sealing film near clamps and push it outside, serially releasing clamps. Continue work before full release of a tape from a lath of a door belt. Take a tape aside.
- Find clamps of fastening of an external sealing tape to the top part of the external panel of a door on bottom edge of a window opening. Push a tape inside around an arrangement of clamps, serially taking the last before full release of a tape from a door frame.
- Give the lower bolt of fastening of the directing window leaf trench.
- In a forward part of a frame of a door, near a window leaf delay the site of a rubber sealant of a door sufficient for ensuring access to screws of fastening of a window leaf up. Turn out screws.
- Incline assembly of a window leaf back and, lifting up, take from a window opening. At the same time for extraction from an aperture of the lower arm of the directing trench the window leaf should be turned on 90 °.
- Carefully remove a windowpane, trying not to damage at the same time a paint and varnish covering of a door.

- Do not forget to adjust the provision of a frame of a window leaf, trying to obtain smoothness of opening of the last.
- Having freely fixed by screws bottom edge of a windowpane on the window regulator ram, lift glass, having densely pressed it to the top back corner of an aperture and to the back directing trench. Having recorded glass in this situation, finally tighten screws.
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal

- Remove internal handles, the panel of finishing of a door and a polymeric sealing film of a door.
- Working through an opening in the door panel, give screws of fastening of a windowpane to the window regulator ram. Carefully lower glass against the stop in a door frame bottom.
- Find clamps of fastening of an internal rubber sealing tape to the top part of a lath of a belt of the internal panel of a door. Grasp at the sealing film near clamps and push it outside, serially releasing clamps. Continue work before full release of a tape from a lath of a door belt. Take a tape aside.
- Find clamps of fastening of an external sealing tape to the top part of the external panel of a door on bottom edge of a window opening. Push a tape inside around an arrangement of clamps, serially taking the last before full release of a tape from a door frame.
- Lift glass, having inclined, bring it out of the back directing trench and carefully remove from a door.

- Adjust the provision of the forward directing trench, trying to obtain smoothness of lowering lifting of glass.
- Having freely fixed by screws bottom edge of a windowpane on the window regulator ram, lift glass, having densely pressed it to the top back corner of an aperture and to the back directing trench. Having recorded glass in this situation, finally tighten screws.
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal and installation of the regulator of a window regulator
Removal

|
- Remove internal handles of a door, the panel of finishing and a polymeric sealing film.
- Remove a windowpane.
- On models with electrodriving window regulators disunite the electric socket of the regulator.
- Give fastening bolts to the internal panel of a door of the regulator and a nut of fastening of a basic level. Take assembly of the regulator through an access opening in the internal panel of a door.

- Before installation grease the regulator with universal lubricant.
- Adjust the provision of a windowpane.
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal and installation of the door lock and drive of remote control of it
Removal
Components of the drive of the door lock

|
- Remove internal handles of a door, the panel of finishing and a polymeric sealing film.
- Completely lift a windowpane and give the lower bolts of the directing trench. Take a trench from a back part of a doorframe.
- Give screws of fastening of the internal handle of the remote drive of the lock of a door to the internal panel of a door.
- Disconnect a rod of the remote drive from the lock. Remove a rod with the handle from a door.
- Disconnect a switching off button rod from the lock.
- Disconnect an executive rod of the cylinder from the lock mechanism.
- On models with the central lock disconnect an executive rod of the driving motor from a latch.
- Give screws of fastening of the mechanism of the lock to a door - in case of need use an impact driver. Take the lock mechanism from a door through an access opening.

- Before installation grease the lock mechanism with universal lubricant.
- Rotating a nut on an executive rod of the external handle of a door, adjust a gap between a nut and the lever of the lock - at the released handle the gap has to make 0.5 ÷ 1.5 mm.
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal and installation of the external handle of a door
Removal
|
|
- Completely lift a windowpane and remove internal handles of a door, the panel of finishing and a polymeric sealing film.
- Give nuts of fastening of the handle to the external panel of a door. Remove the handle, at the same time removing an adjusting nut from the lock mechanism.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
|
- Check a condition of a sealant of the external handle of a door. In case of need replace a sealant.
- In case of need replace a clamp of an executive rod.
- Adjust the provision of a nut of an executive rod of the external handle, trying to obtain a gap between it and the lever of the lock in 0.5 ÷ 1.5 mm (at the released handle).
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal and installation of the cylinder of the lock
Removal
|
|
- Completely lift a windowpane and remove internal handles of a door, the panel of finishing and a polymeric sealing film.
- Disconnect an executive rod from the lock cylinder lever.
- Grasp with flat-nose pliers the edge of a fixing clamp of the cylinder of the lock turned up and take a clamp from a landing flute in a cylinder body.
- Take the lock cylinder together with a sealant from a door.

- Check a condition of a sealant of the cylinder of the lock. In case of need make replacement.
- In case of need replace a clamp of an executive rod.
- Before establishing into place a polymeric sealing film and the panel of finishing of a door, check serviceability of functioning of mechanisms of the lock and a window regulator.

Removal and installation of a door rear-view mirror
|
|
New glass of a door mirror can be bought in an individual order. For removal of old glass it needs to be warmed up the hair dryer for fusion of a sticky layer. New glue can be bought in dealer office of the company manufacturer - try to use only a company product. |
Mirrors with the manual drive
Removal
|
|
- Give screws of fastening of an arm of a mirror to a door and carefully remove a mirror together with a finishing slip (see an accompanying illustration). Try not to drop a bolted plate of fastening of a mirror in a door. If it after all occurred, remove the panel of finishing of a door and a polymeric sealing film, having provided access to a plate that at assembly she could be brought in a starting position.
- Check all components for existence of cracks and other damages. Replace defective parts.

Before tightening fixing screws, track correctness of an arrangement of an arm of a mirror.
Mirrors with the electric drive
Removal
|
|
- Give the screw of fastening of the panel of internal finishing of a mirror to a frame.
- Disunite the electric socket of the drive.
- Give fixing screws and remove a mirror to a door frame.
- Check all components for existence of cracks and other damages. Defective replace.

|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
Check a condition of contacts of the electric socket.
Replacement and adjustment of a plate of the drummer of the lock
|
- Mark with a marker the provision of a plate of the drummer on a door pillar (location of a plate is shown on an accompanying illustration).
- Turn out adjusting screws and remove the drummer's plate. Check a condition of details, defective replace.

|
Installation is made upside-down.
- Place the drummer's plate on a rack according to the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. Screw adjusting screws and tighten so that the plate staid put.
- Cover a door, then densely realize it.
- Lift the external handle and carefully open a door, trying not to displace the drummer's plate.
- Tighten screws and again close a door, checking serviceability of functioning of the lock and a plate of the drummer. If there is a need for further adjustment, weaken adjusting screws and displace the drummer's plate in the required direction, trying to obtain trouble-free operation of the lock when opening and closing a door.
- Upon completion of adjustment strongly tighten adjusting screws of a plate.
