13:16. Service of seat belts
General information
Front and external back seats are equipped with seat belts of inertial type. Belts cover a chest and zone part of a trunk of passengers.
The central back seat is equipped with a zone belt with manual adjustment.
It is necessary to check a condition of all seat belts regularly. At any doubts in serviceability of a state or functioning of assemblies they should be replaced.
Check of a state

- Check material of belts for existence of attritions, istrepyvaniye, cuts, prozhog and other damages. The inertial belt should be extended completely, having winded from a drum and to examine on all its length. In case of detection of defects assembly of a belt should be replaced.
- Make sure that belts are not overwound.
- Check reliability of tightening of fixing nuts and bolts.
- Check serviceability of functioning of buckles of belts. In case of detection of any defects the corresponding belt has to be replaced assembled.
- On belts of inertial type check serviceability of functioning of the returnable mechanism:
- Slowly extend a belt, checking smoothness of its course. Release a belt and make sure that it regularly comes back to a starting position.
- Sharply pull a belt, - the drum has to be blocked.
- Moving at a slow speed try to extend slowly a belt during sharp braking - the drum besides has to be blocked.
- If the returnable mechanism does not function properly, replace defective assembly.
