4.2.8. Service of the oil pump

Removal and dismantling

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take off a gas-distributing belt.
  2. Remove a cogwheel and the back directing plate from a bent shaft.

In order to avoid damage of an epiploon of the oil pump / a bent shaft during removal of the pump take a spline from a pin of a driving gear wheel of a shaft.

  1. Give bolts of fastening of the oil pump to the block of cylinders. Tapping on the lower part of an internal surface of the pump, remove it from a pin of a bent shaft. You will throw out laying.

The internal gear wheel of the oil pump is given to rotation by means of two lysok pierced in a bent shaft.

  1. Give fixing screws and remove a back cover of the oil pump (components of the oil pump are shown on an accompanying illustration).

  1. Carefully, remembering their adjusting provisions, take internal and external gear wheels of the oil pump from a pump housing.
  2. Turn out a stopper of the reducing valve, take a spring saddle, a spring and a plunger.
  3. Carefully take an epiploon of a bent shaft from the oil pump - use a special stripper, or the screw-driver with a flat sting. You will throw out an epiploon.

Check of a state

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Carefully wash out all components of the oil pump in suitable solvent, then dry them.
  2. Examine the case and a cover of the pump on existence of signs of wear, deformations and other damages.
  3. Examine a plunger of the reducing valve on existence of defects.
  4. Check a spring of the reducing valve for existence of damages, compare its performance data (length and effort of compression) to parameters of a new spring.
  5. By means of the probe of lezviyny type measure the size of gaps between teeth of internal and external gear wheels and a crescent dividing element. If the size of a gap goes beyond admissible limits (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management), replace both gear wheels.
  1. By means of the probe and the measuring instrument of planeness (an edge of a steel ruler) check gaps between face surfaces of both gear wheels and a cover of the pump (see an accompanying illustration). At an exit of results of measurements out of admissible limits (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management) replace both gear wheels and/or a pump housing.
  1. Measure a gap between an external gear wheel and a wall of a pump housing (see an accompanying illustration). In case of need replace an external gear wheel and/or the case.
  1. Check a condition of the mesh filter of a maslozabornik. In case of detection of blocking or damages clean or replace a grid.

Assembly and installation

Assembly and installation of the pump are made as it should be, the return to an order of its dismantle.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check purity of a nest of landing of an epiploon, slightly grease a new epiploon on perimeter with sealant. Put an epiploon in a nest aflush with a pump housing end face (components are shown on an accompanying illustration).

  1. Install components of the reducing valve in assembly of the pump, tighten a stopper with effort of 39 ÷ 69 Nanometers.
  2. Establish in a pump housing an external gear wheel (larger facet on the outer edge to a back cover of the pump).
  3. Establish an internal gear wheel (the party equipped with a flute to a back cover of the pump).
  4. Oil gear wheels motive and establish a back cover of the pump. Tighten fixing screws with effort of 4 ÷ 5 Nanometers.
  5. Grease with sealant both parties of new laying of the pump.
  6. Slightly oil sponges of an epiploon and put on assembly of the pump a pin of a bent shaft, having tracked that lysk of an internal gear wheel correctly entered gearing with a bent shaft.
  7. Level the provision of assembly of the pump and its laying on the block of cylinders and screw fixing bolts. Tighten bolts with effort of 9 ÷ 11.8 Nanometers.
  8. Install the pallet of a case and assembly of a maslozabornik on the engine, fill in necessary amount of oil of the required grade in the engine.
  9. Establish a cogwheel of a bent shaft, a gas-distributing belt and a damper of tortional fluctuations.
  10. Start the engine, warm up it up to the normal working temperature. Check whether there is no oil leak, make necessary corrections.
