9.1. Manual Box of Gear Shifting (MBGS)
Manual Box of Gear Shifting (MBGS)
General information
In the present Chapter such are considered components of the transmission line of the car as the transmission (manual (RKPP) and automatic, considered together with the converter of rotation and called below by the automatic transmission (AT)), the transfer case and driveshafts. Assembly of coupling of the models equipped with RKPP is considered separately.
Models of 4.2 l
On carburetor models of 4.2 l RKPP FS5R50A with five forward transfers and one back, all from which is established (including back) are synchronized.
All conducted gear wheels are kosozuby and are in continuous gearing with gear wheels of an intermediate shaft. Gear wheels of the first, second, third and back transfers are established on roller bearings on conducted to a shaft. The gear wheel of the fifth transfer also on the roller bearing is established on intermediate to a shaft. The intermediate gear wheel of the reverse gear is established on separate to a shaft by means of roller bearings.
In a forward part of an intermediate shaft for the purpose of minimization of the dead course of the block of gear wheels the sprung gear ring is established.
Gear shifting is made at the expense of a gear wheel joint with assembly of the synchronizer by introduction of internal shlits of the coupling of the synchronizer to gearing with teeth of the synchronizer of the corresponding transfer. Synchronization is reached when the ring of the synchronizer contacts with a cone on a gear wheel wall that forces to rotate a gear wheel with assembly of the synchronizer in identical speed, providing smoothness of switching.
The main shaft rotates in the ball-bearing located in a forward part of the transmission and comprises the roller bearing which the forward pin of the conducted shaft enters. A back part of a main shaft leans on two ball-bearings, one of which is located in a box case, and the second - in a lengthening casing.
On the left wall of a case of transmission the removable cover serving for removal/installation of the block of selection of the power (RTO) is fixed.
On models of 4.2 l of EFI of late years of release the modified FS5R50A transmission with the changed transfer relations is used (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management). Here the quantity of teeth of the leading gear wheel of a main shaft is increased to 27, and the conducted gear wheel of an intermediate shaft - is reduced to 34. The first and third transfers are equipped with synchronizers with the double blocking rings.
Models of 3.0 l
On model of 3.0 l also completely synchronized RKPP FS5R30A with five forward transfers and one back is established.
Gear wheels of forward transfers are kosozuby and are in continuous gearing with group of gear wheels of an intermediate shaft. Gear wheels of the first, second and third transfers on roller bearings are put on the conducted box shaft, the gear wheel of the fifth transfer also on the roller bearing is established on an intermediate shaft. The intermediate gear wheel of the reverse gear is located on separate to a shaft and supplied with two roller bearings.
Synchronization at gear shifting is reached also as well as in boxes of FS5R50A of models of 4.2 l.
The main shaft rotates in the ball-bearing located in a forward part of the transmission and comprises the roller bearing which the forward pin of the conducted shaft enters.
The conducted shaft rotates with the bearings located in the bearing plate and a casing of lengthening whereas bearings of an intermediate shaft are in a case of coupling and the bearing plate.
