6.2.4. Service of electric components of a control system of the engine
Distributor
Check of the sensor of an angle of rotation
|
- Remove the distributor from the engine.
- Disconnect a negative wire to the battery and an electrical wiring to the distributor.
|
- By means of the voltmeter probe the plug D of the electric socket of a plait of wires (see an insert on an accompanying illustration).
|
- Turn the ignition key in position of ON and, slowly rotating a hand a distributor shaft, check tension - it has to fluctuate between values 5 and 0 B.
- Repeat check for the plug C.
- If tension does not conform to the stipulated requirements, perform the following procedures:
- Uncover the distributor and give a ranichitel of turns. Remove a plate of the screen and the runner from the distributor.
- Check an alarm plate of the sensor of an angle of rotation for existence of traces of dust and damages. In case of need carefully wipe a plate and surrounding components. If the alarm plate is damaged, follows will replace the distributor (separately it is impossible to get a new plate).
- If the distributor as it should be, it is necessary to check an electrical wiring of its food and grounding. If it is not possible to reveal any obvious defects, the car should be driven away in dealer office of the manufacturing company for performing detailed diagnostics.

Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disunite the electric socket of the distributor and disconnect a grounding wire from the distributor.
- Disconnect VV an ignition coil wire from a distributor cover, give fixing screws and postpone a cover with the candle wires connected to it aside. Turn the engine clockwise so that the tag on a pulley of a bent shaft was combined with a zero mark in a cover of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism, and the runner of the distributor was deployed towards an arrangement of the VV plug of a wire of the first cylinder in a distributor cover.
- Mark position of the case of the distributor in relation to a head of cylinders for the purpose of simplification of the procedure of initial installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition at assembly.
- Give a fixing bolt and take the distributor from a head of cylinders.

Do not allow an engine provorachivaniye at removed the distributor. |
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
- Make sure that the tag of a pulley of a bent shaft is still combined with a zero mark in a forward cover.
|
If the bent shaft was turned at the removed distributor, remove a spark plug of the first cylinder, stop up a candle opening with a finger and ask the assistant to rotate a bent shaft manually clockwise. When there is a noticeable feeling of pressure, turn a shaft a little more before combination of tags on a pulley and a cover. |
|
- Achieve combination of a tag on a driving gear wheel of the distributor with a reciprocal tag in the form of small risks on the distributor case (see an accompanying illustration) and insert the distributor into a head of cylinders, having also combined landing tags.
|
- Screw and strongly tighten a fixing bolt.
- Establish a cover of the distributor and tighten fixing bolts.
- Connect an electrical wiring to the distributor and a negative wire to the battery.
- Check correctness of installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition.

Removal and installation of the measuring instrument of an air stream
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the measuring instrument of an air stream.
- Release a collar and disconnect an air duct sleeve from the measuring instrument of an air stream.
- Release clips of fastening of the top half of the case of the air cleaner to lower and remove assembly from the car.
- Give fixing bolts and separate the measuring instrument of an air stream from the top half of the case of the air cleaner. Remove the holder's plate from the inside of the top half of the case of the air cleaner.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
- Track correctness of installation of a sealing ring in deepening in the measuring instrument of an air stream.
- Track correctness of placement of the filtering element in the top half of the case of the air cleaner.
- Start the engine and check its existence of leak of air.
|
|
Sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (CTS)
Check
|
- Remove CTS.
- Connect an ohmmeter to the CTS plugs.
- Lower the thermometer and the metal end of the sensor in the container with cold cooling liquid. Track that the sensor and the thermometer did not adjoin to vessel walls (see an accompanying illustration).
- Begin to heat gradually cooling liquid, tracing dependence of resistance of the sensor on temperature. Compare the received results to standard data:

- If the given dependence is not carried out, CTS has to be replaced.

Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from CTS.
- Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system, having lowered its level lower than the level of an arrangement of CTS.
|
- Remove the sensor from the inlet pipeline.
|
|
|
Installation
|
- Installation is made upside-down.
- The sensor has to be tightened reliably, but not too hardly.
- Fill the cooling system.
|
|
Ignition coil
Check
|
- Disconnect from the VV coil and simple wires.
|
- By means of an ohmmeter check resistance between coil plugs (see inserts on an accompanying illustration, - on an illustration the arrangement of the coil of ignition, a powerful key of the output cascade and resistor/condenser is also shown). The required values are given in the table:

- If the Result of measurements does not correspond to standard data, the coil has to be replaced.

- Disunite electric sockets on the coil of ignition and a powerful key of the output cascade.
- Disconnect VV a wire from the ignition coil, disconnect a grounding wire from an arm.
- Give bolts of fastening of an arm and remove assembly from the car.

Powerful key of the output cascade
Check
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from a powerful key.
- Check existence of conductivity between key plugs. Compare results of measurements to the requirements provided in the table:

Removal and installation

- Remove the ignition coil.
- Give fixing screws and remove a powerful key of the output cascade from an arm.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
Check of the resistor/condenser
|
- The small screw-driver carefully hook the resistor/condenser and take it from a plait of wires in the neighbourhood with the ignition coil.
- By means of an ohmmeter check resistance between plugs close with adjusting ears. Resistance has to equal 2 200 Ohms, otherwise the resistor/condenser is subject to replacement.
|
|
Electromagnetic valves of management
Check
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the corresponding electromagnetic valve (location of the electromagnetic valve of the regulator of pressure of fuel of models of release till October, 1994 is shown on an accompanying illustration A, the valve of a purge of a coal adsorber - on an illustration B).
|
- For valve check:
- Give on it tension in 12 V. Vozdukh between unions B and A has to pass, between unions C and A - no (see an accompanying illustration).
- Power off. The picture has to change on opposite.
|
|
|
Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring and vacuum hoses from the corresponding valve.
- At removal of the valve of a purge of a coal adsorber give a bolt of fastening of an arm of the valve to a cover of a head of cylinders and lift an arm so that access to a fixing nut of the valve opened.
- Give a fixing nut under an arm and remove the valve from the last.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down. Track that the valve ear correctly entered an arm.
Sensor of provision of a butterfly valve (TPS)
Check
|
- Disunite the electric TPS socket.
|
- Connect an ohmmeter to plugs B and C of the electric socket of the sensor (see an accompanying illustration).
|
- At the closed butterfly valve resistance has to make about 1 000 Ohms.
- At partially open gate resistance has to lie within 1 000 ÷ of 9 000 Ohms.
- At completely open throttle resistance has to make about 9 000 Ohms.
- Disconnect the idling sensor switch electrical wiring plug from the TPS case.
- According to data of an illustration connect an ohmmeter to idling sensor switch plugs A and B.
- At the closed butterfly valve between plugs conductivity has to take place.
- At partially open gate of conductivity should not be.
- If results of the performed measurements do not meet the standard requirements, check TPS adjustment and if it is not possible to achieve satisfactory results, replace the sensor.

Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an idling sensor switch electrical wiring from the TPS case, disunite the electric TPS socket.
- Give fixing screws and remove TPS from the throttle case.
|
|
Installation
|
- Installation is made upside-down.
- Track that the lyska on an axis of a butterfly valve correctly was combined with TPS.
- In case of need execute TPS adjustment.
|
|
Adjustment
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the valve of additional air (AAS).
- Disconnect the idling sensor switch electrical wiring plug from the TPS case.
- Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.
- According to data of an illustration 4.44 connect an ohmmeter between idling sensor switch plugs A and B.
- Weaken fixing screws and adjust TPS so that conductivity took place with a frequency of rotation of the engine 900 ± 150 rpm and was absent at turns over 1 050 in a minute.

If the required result does not manage to achieve, replace TPS. |
- Tighten fixing screws and check correctness of adjustment.
- Kill the engine, disconnect an ohmmeter and connect an electrical wiring to TPS and the AAS valve.
|
|
Valve of additional air (AAS)
Check
|
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the AAS valve (see an accompanying illustration).
|
- Measure resistance between valve plugs, - it has to make about 10 Ohms, otherwise the valve has to be replaced.
|
|
Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect from the AAS valve an electrical wiring and perepuskny an air hose.
- Give fixing bolts and remove assembly of the valve from the block of adjustment of air of idling (IAA).
- Give fixing bolts and remove an electromagnet winding from the AAS valve case.
- Check passability of channels. Make sure that plungers freely slide in a casing, and springs are not broken and otherwise are not damaged. In case of need remove coal deposits from channels by means of soft rags and a cleaner for carburetors.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down. At installation of the AAS valve use new laying.
Device of compensation of turns of bystry idling (FICD)
Check
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the FICD device.
- Give on FICD electromagnet plugs tension in 12 Century. When giving tension the click has to sound distinctly, otherwise replace FICD
|
|
Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the FICD valve.
- Removal of FICD from the IAA valve.
- Take a plunger and a spring from the valve. Track that the plunger freely slid in the valve, and the spring was not broken or otherwise damaged. In case of need remove coal deposits from channels by means of soft rags and a cleaner for carburetors.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
- Check a condition of a sealing washer, in case of need make replacement.
- Track correctness of installation of a spring on a plunger.
|
|
Removal and installation of the block of adjustment of air of idling (IAA)
Removal
|
- Remove the AAS valve.
- By means of a suitable prutkovy key give fixing bolts and remove the IAA block with laying from the delivery camera of an air path.
- In case of need turn out FICD from the block.
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down. At installation of the AAS valve and IAA block use new laying.
Air regulator
|
The valve of adjustment of air is located under the inlet pipeline, near the measuring probe. |
Check
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the air regulator.
- Check resistance between regulator plugs. It has to make about 70 ÷ of 80 Ohms, otherwise replace the regulator.
|
|
Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the air regulator.
- Weaken collars and disconnect hoses from the regulator.
- Give fixing bolts and remove the regulator from the inlet pipeline.
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
Sensor switch of pressure of oil of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel
Check
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch on the steering pump.
- Connect an ohmmeter to plugs of the sensor switch and start the engine.
- At the engine working at single turns and the rectilinear provision of forward wheels of the car the sensor switch has to be opened (conductivity is absent).
- At the engine working at single turns and the forward wheels turned in any of the parties the sensor has to be closed (conductivity takes place).
- If conditions of check are not satisfied, the sensor switch of pressure of oil of the power steering should be replaced.

Removal and installation
Removal
|
- Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor switch.
- Remove the sensor switch from the steering pump.
|
|
Installation
Installation is made upside-down. Track that liquid level in the tank of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel met standard.
Relay
|
|
The procedures described below belong to the relay of a control system of the engine (ECCS), the fuel pump and the Parking/neutral (the sensor switch of permission of start), located near the battery (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
Check
|
- Take the relay from a casing in a motive compartment.
- Give voltage of 12 V on plugs A and B and check existence of conductivity between plugs C and D (see an illustration). on models with the 6-terminal relay of the fuel pump check conductivity between plugs E and F (it has to take place).
- Conductivity has to be absent between plugs C and D, or E and F when tension on plugs A and B does not move.
- If this check does not yield the required results, replace the relay.
