12.1.4. Service of assembly of the forward bridge
Removal and installation
Models Hardtop (Hardtop) and Station Wagon
Removal
|
|
- Weaken nuts of fastening of forward wheels.
- Car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on the props got under frame elements. Remove forward wheels.
- Turn out a drain stopper and lower oil from a case of the forward bridge.
- Mark position of the forward driveshaft concerning a flange of the leading gear wheel and a forward driving flange of the transfer case. Disconnect the driveshaft and take it from under the car.
- Release a collar and disconnect a ventilating hose from a case of the forward bridge.
- Disconnect a brake tube from a flexible brake hose, release a fixing clip and release a hose from a basic arm. Zakuporte the open ends of a tube and hose in order to avoid hit in the hydraulic brake system of dirt.
- Take the forelock and turn off a koronchaty nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of the pendular lever of cross steering thirst for the rotary lever of a fist. Release a finger of the spherical hinge from the rotary lever, having pressed hammer baizes to a reverse side of an ear of fastening of connecting draft, and striking with the second hammer blows from its opposite side. By means of a piece of a wire tie up the pendular lever of cross steering thirst for the left longeron of the chassis.
- Give fixing nuts, remove washers and disconnect the lower support of shock-absorbers from a case of the forward bridge.
- Give a nut, remove a washer, then, having hooked the lever, separate a cross jet bar from a bridge case. Tie up a bar to an element of a forward suspension bracket by means of a wire piece.
- Remove forward screw springs.
- By means of two supports or jacks prop up the bridge in horizontal position.
- Give nuts and take bolts of fastening of a case of the bridge to longitudinal levers, then by means of the assistant take out the bridge from under the car.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.

|
- Bring assembly of the forward bridge to adjusting situation, then insert bolts of fastening of longitudinal levers of a suspension bracket, however do not tighten a nut at this stage.
- Establish screw springs, a cross jet bar and shock-absorbers on the places, however do not tighten fixing nuts at this stage.
- Connect the pendular lever of cross steering draft and tighten a koronchaty nut with effort of 46 ÷ 54 Nanometers. Insert the new forelock.
- Install the driveshaft (the sliding joint to the forward bridge). Track correctness of combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. Tighten fixing nuts and bolts with effort of 78 ÷ 88 Nanometers.
- Connect a ventilating hose and a brake tube, pump over hydraulic system.
- Fill in necessary amount of oil of the required grade in a bridge case.
- Lower the car on the earth and tighten with demanded (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management) effort of a nut of fastening of longitudinal levers, shock-absorbers and a cross jet bar.

Removal

- Give nuts and disconnect racks from a bar of the stabilizer of cross stability.
- Take the forelock and turn off a koronchaty nut of fastening of the spherical hinge of longitudinal steering draft to connecting drafts. Release a finger of the spherical hinge from connecting draft, having pressed hammer baizes to a reverse side of an ear of fastening of connecting draft, and striking with the second hammer blows from its opposite side. By means of a piece of a wire tie up longitudinal thirst for the left longeron of the chassis.
- Give nuts of U-shaped bolts of step-ladders of springs and remove basic plates. Lower the forward ends of springs on the earth.
- Horizontally prop up the forward bridge by means of two supports or jacks.
- Give fixing nuts and, supporting springs, remove from their forward ends plates and fingers of earrings.
- By means of the assistant take assembly of the bridge from under the car.

Installation
Installation is made upside-down.

- Track correctness of placement of a case of the bridge on the central bolts of springs.
- Establish fingers, plugs and plates of earrings of springs, however do not tighten fixing nuts at this stage.
- Establish U-shaped bolts and basic plates of step-ladders of springs, tighten fixing nuts with effort of 108 ÷ 147 Nanometers.
- Establish racks of the stabilizer of cross stability and tighten fixing nuts with effort of 20 ÷ 23 Nanometers.
- Connect longitudinal steering thirst for connecting draft, tighten a nut with effort of 88 ÷ 113 Nanometers and install the new forelock.
- Connect shock-absorbers, but do not tighten a nut at this stage.
- Install the driveshaft (the sliding joint to the forward bridge). Track correctness of combination of the landing tags put in the course of dismantle. Tighten fixing nuts and bolts with effort of 78 ÷ 88 Nanometers.
- Connect a ventilating hose and a brake tube, pump over hydraulic system.
- Fill in necessary amount of oil of the required grade in a bridge case.
- Lower the car on the earth and tighten with demanded (see size tables and adjustments at the end of the Management) effort of a nut of fastening of fingers of earrings of springs and shock-absorbers.
