11.1. Service of the main brake cylinder (MBC)
Removal and installation

|
|
- Cover with a protective cover the right forward mudguard. Location of GTTs and the accompanying components in a motive compartment of the car is shown on an accompanying illustration.
|
- Release a clip and disconnect the electric socket from the lower part of the tank of brake fluid.
- Disconnect hydraulic tubes from the GTTs case. Zakuporte the ends of tubes and an opening on the cylinder case in order to avoid hit in hydraulic system of dirt and for the purpose of minimization of losses of liquid.
- Give nuts of fastening of GTTs, take aside a basic arm of the control valve of the vacuum amplifier and remove the main cylinder from the car.

Removal
|
|
At casual hit of brake fluid on the painted car body surfaces immediately wash away it a plentiful amount of water and allow a surface to dry in the natural way - do not wipe it with rags. |
Installation
Installation is made upside-down.
|
|
- Before installation fill the GTTs tank with pure brake fluid and several times rock cylinder pistons so that liquid began to be pushed out through openings under installation of brake tubes.
- Tighten all fixture with the required effort.
- Track reliability of fastening of an electrical wiring to the lower part of the tank.
- In conclusion pump over system.
- Make trial runs of the car. Checking serviceability of functioning of brakes.

Dismantling
|
|
- After removal of GTTs merge brake fluid from its tank. The GTTs components are shown on an accompanying illustration.
- Having carefully hooked, take the tank from rubber sealing plugs through passage. Uncover the tank and take the mesh filter and a float.
- Remove sealing plugs of the tank from the GTTs case and you will throw out them.
- Unbend lock uvulas of a cover of the limiter from a flute on the end of the GTTs case, uncover the limiter the cylinder. If lock uvulas are injured, replace a limiter cover.
- Take from the cylinder of assembly of primary and secondary pistons with a returnable spring, - remember their landing situation.

In case of need knock on GTTs end face with wooden whetstone for release and the subsequent extraction of pistons. |
Cleaning and check of a state
|
|
- Wash out all GTTs components methyl alcohol.
|
|
Do not use gasoline, kerosene or other cleaning solvents for this purpose. |
- Check passability of all liquid channels.
- Check GTTs mirror for existence of signs of wear and cavities. In case of need replace the cylinder. Do not try to restore a cylinder mirror by its honingovaniye.
- Check returnable springs for existence of cracks and easing of the developed effort. Replace defective.
- If cuffs of pistons are replaced, remember adjusting situation old (on both pistons). By means of a blunt tool remove cuffs and you will throw out them. If you are going to use company set for capital repairs of GTTs, you will throw out also old pistons.

There where it is possible, surely use the special company remnabor including new cuffs and pistons in the structure. Use of such company sets will allow to prolong block service life substantially. |
Assembly
Assembly is made as it should be, the return to a dismantling order.
|
|
- Before installation grease cuffs of pistons with pure brake fluid or special lubricant (for rubber components). When clothing on pistons track correctness of orientation of cuffs.
- Grease a mirror of the main cylinder with pure brake fluid and install in the cylinder a returnable spring and assemblies of pistons (in a former order).
- Drown pistons in the cylinder, establish a restrictive cover and bend lock uvulas in a flute on the end of the GTTs case.
- Grease sealing plugs of the tank with pure brake fluid or special lubricant (for rubber components) and put plugs in the cylinder case.
- Push the tank into sealing plugs through passage, install a float and the mesh filter in the tank.
- Install GTTs on the car.
