10.4. Service of the servo-driver

Check of serviceability of functioning

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. At the killed engine several times squeeze out a pedal of coupling with the purpose of removal of depression of the servo-driver block.
  2. Slightly press a pedal and hold it in this situation.
  3. Start the engine. The pedal has to fail considerably down, otherwise it is necessary to check serviceability of giving of depression:
    1. Check vacuum hoses for existence of signs of aging of material and other damages. In case of need make replacement.
    2. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the block of the servo-driver and at the engine working at single turns make sure that depression reaches the block for what stop up the end of a hose with a thumb.
    3. Disconnect vacuum hoses, release a fixing clip and remove the control valve from the car.
    4. Blow in the control valve from the servo-driver block. Air has to pass through the valve.
    5. Try to prososat air through the valve (besides from the servo-driver). The valve has to be closed. If these conditions are not satisfied, replace the valve.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the main cylinder of coupling.
  2. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the servo-driver block.
  3. In interior of the car disconnect a servo-driver pusher from a coupling pedal. Give fixing nuts and remove a servo-driver side from the car.

Installation

Installation is made upside-down.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check installation of length of a vystupaniye of a pusher of the block of the servo-driver, execute necessary adjustment (see an accompanying illustration):
    1. On the removed block of the servo-driver measure distance from to the basic face surface of the block to the center of an opening under installation of a finger of fastening of a pusher to a coupling pedal (In on an illustration). The nominal rate makes In = 130 mm.
    2. If it is required to make adjustment, weaken a lock-nut and displace a pusher tip in the required direction, then again strongly tighten a lock-nut.
    3. Measure distance from the basic surface of the main cylinder to an outer edge of a forward pusher of the block of the servo-driver (And on an illustration). The nominal rate makes And = 1.30 ÷ of 1.55 mm.
    4. For adjustment record a pusher and shift its tip in the corresponding direction.

If the forward pusher needs the adjustment exceeding in size of 0.5 mm, the servo-driver is faulty and is subject to replacement.

  1. Tighten nuts of fastening of the block of the servo-driver with the required effort.
  2. Check height and a free wheeling of a pedal of coupling, in case of need make adjustment.
